Would I like a tax cut? Sure. I’m also for raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.
But I don’t want a tax cut more than I want bridges that don’t collapse. I don’t want a tax cut more that a good education for my grandchildren. I don’t want a tax cut if it means more homeless people on the streets and children without health insurance. I don’t want a tax cut if it means I won’t have Social Security if I can eventually retire. And I don’t want a tax cut if it means I’m passing an ever-increasing debt on to my kids.
