Earlier this year I shared with supporters a behind-the-scenes look at memorable photos made over my 36 years as a Tribune photographer. See the link and password below if you would like to view the video slideshow.
It has been an honor to work as a photojournalist, and it has really shaped the way I see the world.
When I am on assignment, I try to get to know people. To empathize with them. And to reflect on how they may have been treated.
I embedded with troops during the Iraq War, transmitting photos by satellite modem. I shared memories of covering the NBA Finals with Stockton and Malone, and of discovering the kindness of others despite language barriers while covering the Olympics in Japan. And from arena rock concerts to gritty punk shows - I love them both as a music fan to the core.
My experience with The Tribune has shaped the way I see the world and I am so very grateful. I hope in some small way, we are reshaping how you see what’s happening in Utah.
We’re grateful for your support, which helps us continue to share unique stories and new perspectives. To make a donation, scan the QR code below or click here.
