Special forces soldiers return to Utah

Soldiers from the Utah Army National Guard landed at Salt Lake City International Airport on Friday night after a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.

About 15 soldiers from the Airborne component of the 19th Special Forces Group were expected Friday. The soldiers advised and supported Afghan troops and other coalition forces.

The soldiers spent a week at Fort Bragg, N.C., before returning to Utah.

Last week, about 11 other soldiers from the 19th Special Forces Group returned to Utah.
