2 men wounded, suspect in custody in Ballpark neighborhood shooting

Three men transported to a hospital, including the suspect.

Salt Lake City police are investigating a shooting in the Ballpark neighborhood, where two people suffered gunshot wounds.

Police responded Thursday shortly after 5 a.m. near 380 West 1700 South, according to a news release. Officials reported two men were taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds.

The release described one man as having “serious, but non-life-threatening injuries,” while the other suffered “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Police say a male suspect was taken into custody and also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
