Utah man phones police to tell them he killed his wife

The names of the suspect and the victim have not been released.

A Utah woman is dead and her husband is in custody after he called police to report he had killed her, police said.

According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call in the Arcadia area on Thursday — the caller said he had killed his wife. (Arcadia is about 130 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.)

When deputies arrived, they took the man into custody and found the body of an adult woman inside the home.

Police have released no other information — neither the names of the suspect and the victim nor how the victim was killed. According to the sheriff’s office, the names will not be released until family members are notified.
