Utahns rally for reproductive rights during Women’s March event at Capitol steps

Democrats and activists spoke to a crowd of around 200 people about reproductive health policy on Saturday.

Utahns gathered on the steps of the Utah Capitol on Saturday to rally for reproductive rights.

The event, hosted by Women’s March Utah 2.0, aimed to encourage a “blue wave” within the Beehive State for November’s midterm elections, according to its Facebook page.

Darlene McDonald, the Democratic candidate challenging Republican Rep. Burgess Owens in Utah’s 4th Congressional District, and state Rep. Angela Romero, D-Salt Lake City, spoke to a crowd of around 200 people at the rally.
