It’ll be much warmer in Utah — temporarily. Snow is also in the forecast.

Salt Lake City temperatures could reach the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday.

Warmer temperatures are in the forecast for Utah this week, according to the National Weather Service, but don’t put away your winter coat. Snow is expected this weekend.

Along the Wasatch front and lower valleys across Utah, temperatures will push into the low 60s, while higher elevations will reach about 50. The forecast calls for dry and stable conditions and temperatures 5-10 degrees above normal.

In Salt Lake City, a high of 45 is expected on Monday, followed by 51 on Tuesday, 56 on Wednesday, and 57 on Thursday — with a possibility of reaching the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight lows will remain above freezing, in the mid- to upper 30s.

It will be a “nice taste of spring before winter decides to show up again,” according to the weather service.

Rain is expected on Thursday night, followed by snow on Friday, as well as possible snow on Saturday and Sunday. Daytime highs Friday will fall to the mid-40s, followed by the mid-30s on Saturday and Sunday, with overnight lows in the 20s.

In St. George, it will be 67 on Monday, 73 on Tuesday, and 76 on Wednesday and Thursday, with overnight lows rising from the mid-30s to the mid-40s.

There’s a chance of rain on Friday and Saturday there, and temperatures will fall to the lows 60s those days. Sunny skies are expected to return on Sunday, but the high will be in the upper 50s.
