Almost 2.36 million COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Utah, and 1.084 million people are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. That’s a third of the state’s total population who have received either both doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
According to the Utah Department of Health, 1.37 million Utahns have received at least one dose.
The state also reported six more deaths caused by COVID-19. Three of those occurred before April 13 and were only recently confirmed to be the result of the coronavirus.

Cases reported in past day • 418.
Deaths reported in past day • Six.
Salt Lake County reported two deaths — a man between the ages of 45-64 and a woman 85-plus.
There were also two deaths in Iron County — both men 65-84.
Two other counties each reported a single death — a woman 85-plus in Tooele County, and a man 85-plus in Utah County.
Tests reported in past day • 6,562 people were tested for the first time. A total of 14,677 people were tested.
Hospitalizations reported in past day • 152. That’s 10 more than on Wednesday. Of those currently hospitalized, 53 are in intensive care, four fewer than on Wednesday.
Percentage of positive tests • Under the state’s original method, the rate is 6.4%. That’s slightly lower than the seven-day average of 6.7%.
The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests of the same individual. Thursday’s rate was 2.8%, lower than the seven-day average of 3.6%.
