The American Fork Police Department said Tuesday that it has located Kylee Marie Hreinson.
Hreinson hadn’t been seen since Jan. 3. Police had said they believed she might be in danger.
“At this point, it appears that Hreinson intentionally left her family’s home and that the circumstances surrounding her whereabouts during the past several days have also been intentional and voluntary,” police said in a news release.
In a statement on Monday, the American Fork Police Department said Hreinson left a family member’s house on Jan. 3 and told family she would be staying with a friend in “Salt Lake.” Family members spoke to Hreinson via a messaging app on Sunday, Jan. 10, and police said she appeared to be under duress and had bruises on her face. According to the statement, Hreinson told her family she would be back that evening, but didn’t return.
