Allegiant begins Provo-Denver flights, offers $25 promotional flights

Allegiant airlines is launching new twice-weekly nonstop service from Provo to Denver — and is celebrating by offering promotional $25 one-way fares on select flights between the cities.

Allegiant will also begin twice-weekly, nonstop service from Provo to Orange County, Calif., beginning in February, and currently is booking one-way fares between them for as low as $45 on select flights.

Fares may be booked online at Allegiant.com. Discounted fares are not available on all flights. The discounted flights from Provo to Denver must be purchased by Nov. 21 for travel by Jan. 26. Allegiant is a discount airline that charges extra for all baggage, including carry-on items.

Provo aimed to attract such expansion when it began a $40 million expansion of its airport terminal last year, which is expected to be completed late next year. Officials said then that they hoped service would grow from four flights a day to perhaps 20 initially, and eventually up to 62.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant offers commercial service at airports in both Provo and Ogden.
