Roy High teacher arrested for allegedly trying to arrange sex with a 13-year-old

A Roy High School teacher has been arrested for trying to arrange a sexual encounter with a person he believed was 13 years old.

Brady Glenn Allen, 30, was booked into the Weber County jail for investigation of enticement and attempted exploitation of a minor, pending formal charges. He is being held without bail.

According to the Weber School District, Allen has been placed on administrative leave “while the district conducts an internal investigation. ... We were told that the alleged criminal actions of Mr. Allen were not related to any activities that took place at Roy High School, and it did not involve any students."

According to a probable cause statement, a Layton police officer — working with the FBI child exploitation task force — went online “using a popular chatting application” and posed as a 13-year-old. The officer was contacted by Allen, who “engaged in a highly sexual conversation,” asked for nude photos of the 13-year-old and made arrangements to meet the child for sex.

Allen arrived at the location he’d arranged with the officer, and he and his car were identified by police. He was arrested at his home on Wednesday.

According to police, when Allen was questioned he “fully admitted to talking to the child about having sex, arranging to meet, and showing up at where he believed the child to be living for sex," as well as “asking the child for nude images.”
