A small wildfire was burning early Tuesday in Neffs Canyon, above Olympus Cove, fire officials in Salt Lake County reported.
The fire was reported not long after midnight, the Unified Fire Authority wrote in a tweet.
The “fire is moving very slowly, but the public can expect to see single tree torching throughout the morning,” firefighters wrote.
There were two helicopters and two fixed-wing aircraft with water platoons assisting approximately 80 firefighters in fighting the blaze Tuesday afternoon, state fire officials said on Twitter. By Tuesday evening, they said the blaze had grown to about 60 acres.
No structures have been threatened and the cause of the fire is unknown.
