Salt Lake City Police officers shot and killed a man after responding to a call involving threats with a gun at around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Officers tracked down a suspect in the area of 900 South and 300 West, according to FOX 13. The suspect fled a short distance before police confronted him, then shots were fired. The suspect died at the scene.
No officers were injured.
Police were still searching for a second suspect as of Saturday morning.
“At this point in time, we believe there may be a second suspect that’s outstanding,” Salt Lake City Police Sergeant Keith Horrocks told FOX 13. “But we don’t feel like there’s any threat to the community with that person.”
The police department declined to provide any further information about the shooting until Tuesday.
