Northern Utah will get hit by one snowstorm Thursday through Friday and another Saturday through Monday, but unless you live in the mountains, you probably won’t have to do much shoveling.
According to the National Weather Service, a small storm that moved in Thursday morning will continue into Friday, but most areas won’t see more than half inch of snow— and that’ll just be in some spots. In other areas, the storm won’t do more than get the roads wet and maybe turn your lawn a bit white.
Unless you live in the mountains, which could get 4-8 inches.
That storm is expected to move out by Friday afternoon. But a second, stronger storm is forecast to begin on Saturday afternoon and continue, off and on, through Monday — with “moderate” snow accumulations. Ski resorts may receive 6-8 inches of new powder.
The NWS also is warning of yet another storm that could arrive on Tuesday, with conditions remaining “unsettled and cool.”
High temperatures are expected to remain in the 30s — above freezing — through Tuesday. Overnight lows will range from the low 20s to low 30s.
