Clearfield Police have identified the woman who died on Thursday morning after she was struck by a pickup truck as Calista Taylor, 20
According to police, Taylor was struck at 6:41 a.m. at the intersection of 700 south and the I-15 northbound offramp. She was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where she died a short time later.
The driver of the truck, an adult male, “remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation,” according to a statement by Clearfield Police Department Assistant Chief Devin Rogers.
The driver was not cited at the scene. Police are working to determine whether the victim was in a crosswalk when she was struck. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call the Clearfield Dispatch Center at 801-525-2806.
