Three people were killed Sunday in southern Utah when their car was struck by a van that crossed the median and hit them head-on.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the van was headed south on U.S. 89 near mile marker 34 at about 7:20 p.m. when it suddenly crossed the center line and hit the car, killing the driver and both passengers. UHP identified the victims as Aurtro V. Torres, 31, and Laura D Cobain-Rodriguez, 27, of Salt Lake City; and Renae Cobain, 19, of Magna.
The driver of the van was taken by helicopter to a hospital.
