Silver Alert issued for 71-year-old woman missing in Iron County

Police are asking for help to find a 71-year-old woman with dementia who went missing Saturday afternoon during her daily walk in a Cedar City neighborhood.

Carol Beth Stratton was last seen around 2 p.m. near 340 W. 2530 North. She stopped to visit with someone and left to continue her walk. She hasn’t been seen since, according to police.

Saturday night, authorities issued a Silver Alert to help find her. It says she may have been heading toward 2600 North and 400 West.

Stratton is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 114 pounds. She is white and has gray hair and blue eyes.

Police say she was last seen wearing an orange and blue sweater with a red hat. She is wearing a large jeweled necklace. She is nonverbal.
