Salt Lake City firefighters spent Friday afternoon cleaning up jet fuel spilled on a road near the University of Utah hospital.
FOX 13 reported a tanker truck spilled about 25 gallons of fuel on a road behind the hospital, near a parking garage that is also used as a landing pad for medical helicopters.
Two people had undergone decontamination procedures, but no injuries were reported.
By 5:45 p.m., fire crews had contained the spill, according to the Salt Lake City Fire Department’s Twitter feed. The fuel had gone down two storm drains, but flowed into a retention pond and did not enter the city’s water system.
