A Cache County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant was killed in an ATV accident Saturday, the Cache County Fire District confirmed.
Lt. Brian Locke, who has been with the department for 32 years, died of his injuries.
The district posted on Facebook: “We at the Cache County Fire District extend our sincere condolence to Lt. Brian Locke’s family and to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office for the tragic loss of Lt. Locke. We will miss him."
According to Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen, his department “responded to an OHV accident in the Paradise Dry Canyon area of Cache County” at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday. “The driver was transported to Logan Regional Hospital and died from the injuries.”
The investigation into the accident is ongoing. Jensen declined to confirm that Locke was the victim, but the fire district, among others, has expressed condolences to Locke’s family and the sheriff’s office.
