A couple married in Utah a few weeks ago died in a car crash Saturday on their way to their honeymoon.
FOX 13 reported Amy Moffat, 28, and Stephen Graham, 30, died in a crash near Yakima, Wash. They were on their way to Whistler, British Columbia.
Graham’s Facebook page says he lived in Holladay and married Moffat on Aug. 11. Moffat’s Facebook page says she lived in Provo.
Washington State Patrol said Moffat fell asleep at the wheel about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Spencer Luczak, a friend of the couple, told FOX 13 he was driving behind them when the crash happened.
“When the truck went into its first roll," Luczak said, “it lifted off the ground and was high enough where both the passenger and I had to look up through the windshield to see the truck above us, and then I slowed down just in time because it landed right in our path.”
Moffat and Graham were pronounced dead at the scene. The couple reportedly were wearing their seat belts.
