Police find man’s body, dog skeleton in Pleasant Grove home

Pleasant Grove, Utah • Pleasant Grove police say they believe that a body they found in a house may have been decomposing in the home for more than a year.

Pleasant Grove police discovered the body Tuesday when officers went to the home looking for a man whom code enforcement had been trying to reach for months.

Police say the man's body remained undiscovered for so long because he did not have close friends or family to request a welfare check.

Police also found materials to make explosive devices and booby traps and a dog skeleton at the home.

There was also a booby trap on the door to the room where the body was located.
