The broadcast networks want you to watch their new shows, and most of them want you to be able to catch up — for free.

ABC, The CW, NBC and Fox are all offering viewers a chance to binge-watch new series so they're all caught up when the shows return with new episodes.

(1) "American Housewife" (ABC.com and Watch ABC; nine episodes) • You can catch up on this new sitcom online — all eight episodes that have aired to date are currently available. It's a surprisingly funny show about an offbeat mom, her husband and her three kids. (Available for purchase on Amazon, Google Play and YouTube.)

(2) "Bull" (CBS All Access) • Who would've thought that a show supposedly based on Dr. Phil's former career as a trial consultant could turn into a hit? CBS isn't offering the nine episodes that have aired so far for free, but you can get all them watched in the free week CBS All Access offers. (Available for purchase on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.)

(3) "Designated Survivor" (ABC.com and Watch ABC; 10 episodes)• This series gets off to a great start and has good moments — along with some ridiculous baloney. (Available for purchase on Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.)

(4) "The Good Place" (NBC.com and Hulu; nine episodes) • This comedy about an awful young woman who dies and goes to the good place — when she really should be in the bad place — is one of the most pleasant surprises of the season. (Available for purchase on Amazon, Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.)

(5) "Lethal Weapon" (FoxNow and Hulu; nine episodes) • This surprisingly good reboot of the theatrical films about mismatched police partners isn't great drama, but it's a lot of fun to watch. (Available for purchase on Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.)

(6) "Speechless" (ABC.com and Watch ABC; nine episodes) • You can catch up on this new sitcom online — all nine episodes that have aired to date are currently available. It's a highly amusing show about a family that includes a teenager with cerebral palsy. (Available for purchase on Amazon, Google Play and YouTube.)

(7) "This Is Us" (NBC.com and Hulu; 10 episodes) • This family drama is the best new show of the season. And, c'mon, you've got to catch up before all the surprise twists — and there are a lot of them — are spoiled for you. (Available for purchase on Amazon, Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.)

(8) "Timeless" (NBC.com and Hulu; 10 episodes) • This time-travel drama has already gotten so convoluted with the good guys chasing the bad guys through history that you pretty much have to watch all the episodes to know what's going on. (Available for purchase on Google Play and YouTube.)
