The Black Crowes at Eccles

The Black Crowes, the veteran southern-rock band, was supposed to come to Utah later in November, as the opening act for Aerosmith in Delta Center. But when Aerosmith canceled the tour because of lead singer Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury, The Black Crowes launched their own tour — which arrives Tuesday at the Eccles Theater, 131 S. Main, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Live-at-the-Eccles.com.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which plays rock-guitar Christmas music augmented by a laser light show, has had a popularity over the last 20 years that transcends even its founder, Paul O’Neill, who died in 2017. The band will bring its current touring show, “The Lost Christmas Eve,” to Delta Center, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City, on Wednesday, for two shows — at 3 and 7 p.m. Tickets available at DeltaCenter.com.

Nov. 22-Dec. 21

Artistic holiday gifts

The Bountiful/Davis Art Center, at 90 N. Main St., Bountiful, launches its winter art market on Friday, 5-8 p.m. The market boasts 50 booths containing fine art and gifts made by local artists. The market will be open through Dec. 21. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. (Closed Nov. 28 and 29 to observe Thanksgiving.) Admission is free.

Nov. 23

Celebrating KRCL’s birthday

Independent public radio station KRCL is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a concert and party on Saturday at The Commonwealth Room, 195 W. 2100 South, South Salt Lake. Three acts share top billing: The Mellons, The Pranksters and Tallia Keys & the Love. There’s also an all-vinyl set by DJ Rockin’ Robin, specialty cocktails from Dented Brick Distillery, a custom ale from Fisher Brewing, two food trucks (Porteña Empanadas and Falafel Tree), and specialty birthday cupcakes from Forty Three Bakery. Music starts at 7 p.m. — but get there before 6 p.m. to hear a panel discussion on KRCL’s history, hosted by Lara Jones of “RadioACTive.” Tickets available at KRCL.org.
