RSL then hosts the Portland Timbers on Saturday, also at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for both games are available at RSL.com.

Celebrating African heritage

The Afro Utah Festival — a celebration of Utah’s Black, African and Afro-immigrant communities — happens Saturday, starting at noon, at Library Square, 200 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. The theme is “Unity in Diversity,” and the the event showcases cultural performances, African cuisine (both traditional and modern), arts and crafts, fashion, music and more. And it’s all free.
