Utah’s own Post Malone gets a rare honor: His own flavor of Oreos. Here’s how they taste.

The musician and Utah resident put his own “twist” on the classic sandwich cookie.

Fans of musician Post Malone can now — and for a limited time — buy special-edition Oreos created by the adopted Utahn.

A spokesperson for Oreo said Malone personally curated the flavor and look of the cookies, and the packaging features a handwritten note and signature from the musician.

“Can’t believe they let me make my own Oreo cookie,” reads Post Malone’s note, printed on the back of the package. “So happy everyone gets to try the taste twist — hope you love it as much as I do!”

Malone’s Oreos are the first ever to feature a swirl of two different flavors inside: salted caramel and shortbread. The two creams are sandwiched between a golden Oreo and a chocolate Oreo that’s each stamped with one of nine different embossments, which mostly reference Posty’s music. For example, a sunflower design is a reference to Post Malone and Swae Lee’s song “Sunflower,” from the animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

The other embossments include: a guitar surrounded by flames; a butterfly; a guitar pick; a pickup truck (a reference to the cover of Post Malone’s 2024 country album, “F-1 Trillion”); a vinyl record; the name Post encircled by chains; a knight on a horse; and a buzzsaw blade.

The background on the packaging is of a brown guitar pick repeated over and over to form dragon-like scales, “celebrating two of Post Malone’s interests,” Oreo said. On the front of the pack, which is emblazoned with the name Post in large letters, is Post Malone’s own signature, with a smiley face next to it.

As for why Oreo decided to collaborate on a special pack of Oreos with Post Malone, the brand said: “Being playful is at the core of the Oreo brand, and part of that playfulness is self-expression. Perhaps nobody embodies that quite like Post Malone, who effortlessly blends unexpected tastes and merges opposing worlds.”

The combination of chocolate cookie and caramel cream is a satisfying one, evoking a slight coffee flavor that’s balanced by the shortbread-flavored cream and cookie. The ample cream inside easily squishes out the sides when the Oreo is bitten into.

The Oreos began rolling out at nationwide retailers starting Monday, and will be available as long as supplies last. In Utah, the cookies are available at the moment at Harmons stores, according to an email from the grocery chain.

It’s not Malone’s first dive into the food business. In April 2023, the fast-food chicken chain Raising Cane’s opened a franchise in Midvale that was designed by Malone himself — painted pink and black, with Malone’s face covering two of the outside walls. Last September, the severely damaged pickup truck from the “F-1 Trillion” album cover shoot was put on temporary display there.
