Eight new bars got their liquor licenses Thursday, including two in downtown Salt Lake City’s Post District.
At the monthly meeting of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services’ (DABS) liquor commission, two ready-to-operate bars were granted licenses: The Manor F&B resort in Coalville, and Riverhorse on Main in Park City.
After applying for a license for a few months, Manor F&B was given what’s called a bar “equity” license, which applies to members-only establishments and allows for alcoholic beverages to be served at up to five “dispensing areas,” said DABS spokesperson Michelle Schmitt.

Riverhorse on Main — a fine-dining restaurant that rotates its menu seasonally — is opening a new bar area, which will be covered under the new bar license. Both Manor F&B and Riverhorse on Main’s bar area were expected to open Thursday.
