On Thanksgiving Day, dozens of Utah restaurants remain open, serving the classic holiday meal with roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.
Don’t feel like eating poultry? You’re in luck. Most restaurants also offer other holiday choices like prime rib, beef short ribs, salmon or even vegetarian pasta. Take a look at the list below to see what is available.
Prices do not include tax, tip or alcoholic beverages, unless noted. In most cases, reservations will be required on Thanksgiving Day — even if the establishment is serving a buffet or doesn’t usually require them.

The parent company may have closed this location in August, when it filed for bankruptcy protection, but it was recently purchased as a franchise and the new owner reopened it last week. It will be open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving a traditional turkey dinner with vegetables, sides and a slice of pie. Adults, $22; children 12 and under, $8.99.

Snowbird Ski Resort • 9385 S. Snowbird Center Drive, 801-933-2222 or snowbird.com. This resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon has three restaurants open for the holiday. The Aerie, inside the Cliff Lodge, hosts a buffet from 11 a.m to 8 p.m. that includes appetizers, soups, salads, turkey, ham, beef tenderloin, salmon, pork shoulder, elk stew, trout, mushroom ravioli, chilled shrimp, sushi vegetable sides and desserts. Adults, $62; kids 6-12, $33; 5 and under, free.
