The leaves are turning orange, the coffee cups are filled with pumpkin spice flavors, and images of jack-o’-lanterns and black cats are everywhere. It must be the Halloween season.

Gardner Village • The historic shopping and event space, at 1100 W. 7800 South in South Jordan, is in the middle of its annual WitchFest, which runs through Oct. 31. Utah’s Hogle Zoo • The zoo’s annual after-hours light display — renamed Hogle Halloween: A BooLights Experience — features immersive lights, Dr. Frankenstein’s Lab Show in the Wildlife Theatre and nighttime rides on the Eccles Express (for an additional $3.50 charge). Wheeler Farm Pumpkin Days • The farm’s pumpkin patch is open to visit in the north parking lot pasture. Wagon, cow trains and the country store are also open. Now through Oct. 31.
