Last call for ‘Nutcracker’

There’s still a week of performances left for Ballet West’s Christmas tradition, “The Nutcracker” — this year marking the 80th anniversary of founder Willam Christensen creating this version of the holiday classic. The last performances are: Sunday at noon and 5 p.m.; Monday at 2 and 7 p.m.; Tuesday at noon; Thursday and Friday at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Saturday at 2 p.m. For tickets and information, go to BalletWest.org.

‘Cirque’ for Boxing Day

It’s the day after Christmas, and still plenty of holiday entertainment available with “A Magical Cirque Christmas,” a variety show featuring aerialists, acrobats, clowns and more. Fractured fairy tale

The touring production of “Shrek: The Musical” makes a short stop at the Eccles Theater, 131 S. Main St., for five shows over three days, starting Friday through next Sunday, Dec. 29. A triple-bill, sort of
