Bravo is making a spinoff, of sorts, to ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’

‘Sold on SLC’ will highlight ‘Salt Lake City’s most jaw-dropping properties,’ the cable channel says.

Bravo, the cable channel behind “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” has apparently decided the country hasn’t seen enough of rich people in Utah.

During Wednesday’s season 5 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Bravo announced their next Utah-centered series, “Sold on SLC.”

The reality series — produced by Shed Media, which also makes the “Real Housewives” franchises — will debut later this year, though Wednesday’s announcement didn’t say when.

According to Bravo, the new series is focused on Presidio Real Estate, a Utah-based real estate agency, and its founder/owner/CEO, Jennifer Yeo. The show, “set among Salt Lake City’s most jaw-dropping properties,” also features Yeo’s team of agents, including Tyna Edwards, Malaysia Fua, Matt Jones, Sarah Martindale and Kenny Sperry.

Martindale made a cameo appearance in the season 5 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” getting a hug from tequila magnate Lisa Barlow when entering Barlow’s Valentine’s Day “Besos” party. A screen graphic identifies Martindale as “Lisa’s Realtor.”

A promo for “Sold on SLC,” posted on YouTube and other social media, spotlights Yeo and Barlow.

“Hi, baby gorgeous,” Barlow begins, using one of her catchphrases. “Do you think the SLC had enough drama with the Housewives?”

Yeo then adds, “Just wait until you see what my Realtors bring to the table.”

Bravo, in a news release Wednesday evening, said the show “follows the layered social dynamics within the brokerage as the agents navigate complicated relationships and personal rivalries. Always on a mission for commission, drama often follows the fierce professional ambitions of the team as they strive to stay on top, and continue to raise the bar, in one of the fastest growing housing markets in the nation.”
