After a summer of big concerts under a clear Utah sky, the lineup for fall is moving indoors.
The big three indoor concert venues in Salt Lake County — Delta Center and the Eccles Theater in downtown Salt Lake City, and the Maverik Center in West Valley City — will feature a range of musical performers, from rock to rap to Latin music. (For Delta Center, those shows are interspersed with both the Utah Jazz and the new Utah Hockey Club, whose seasons start in October.)
The summer venues — Red Butte Garden and Granary Live in Salt Lake City, Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, and Sandy Amphitheatre — are finishing up their seasonal runs, so there are still opportunities to enjoy music outside.
Missing from the list are two major rock acts that had to cancel because of their lead singers’ health problems: Heart at the Maverik Center on Sept. 20, and Aerosmith on Nov. 27 at Delta Center.
Here’s a rundown, by venue, of the major concerts scheduled to play along the Wasatch Front from now to the end of the year. Enjoy.
