Here’s when Kilby Block Party will return in 2025

Utah’s Kilby Block Party is set to return for its sixth year.

Music fans from far and wide can mark their calendars for the return of Utah’s homegrown music festival, Kilby Block Party.

The sixth annual event — now a multi-day music festival in Salt Lake City that started as a celebration for the garage shack venue Kilby Court — will return next year from May 15-18.

Kilby Court, long hailed as a counterculture hub, celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

Details on the lineup and ticket sales have not yet been announced, but antsy fans are encouraged to sign up for email and texts alerts by S&S Presents, a local company that hosts the festival and operates several local music venues, like Kilby Court, Metro Music Hall and Urban Lounge.

S&S was set to host a new ode-to-indie-pop festival, Love Letters, at the end of this month. That festival was canceled in early August due to “a few issues that we just weren’t able to resolve,” according to Nic Smith, the managing director of S&S.

Kilby Block Party, though, has steadily grown over the years since it started in 2019. The past few iterations of the festival have been held at the Utah State Fairpark, welcoming fans from across the world and all 50 states. It also draws big music groups, many of which have played at Kilby Court in the past.

This year’s headliners included Vampire Weekend, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service and LCD Soundsystem.
