Two ‘Real Housewives of SLC’ are suing each other over ‘cosmetic injections’

Heather Gay says Monica Garcia hasn’t paid; Monica says injections were ‘botched.’

Two of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” are suing each other over cosmetic surgery — one says the other hasn’t paid; the other says in a court filing that the procedure was “botched and negligently performed.”

In a lawsuit filed in August by Beauty Lab + Laser LLC, which is co-owned by “Real Housewife” cast member Heather Gay, Monica Fowler (who goes by Monica Garcia on the show) is accused of refusing to pay for a series of “cosmetic injections” she contracted for on Dec. 10, 2019 — almost a year before “RHOSLC” premiered and more than four years before Garcia joined the cast.

According to the lawsuit, Garcia agreed to pay $2,449 for the treatments and has, to date, paid only $449. Beauty Lab + Laser sued for the balance on Aug. 14.

In a countersuit filed Sept. 13, Garcia claimed she owes nothing because she “reached an oral accord” to go to a “competent party to fix the damage to Monica’s nose and lips caused by the incompetent, negligent actions of Beauty Lab’s staff,” and that she owes nothing more. She’s also seeking damages of “less than $50,000.”

Although Gay and Garcia have been quite friendly with each other in recent episodes of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” which were filmed earlier this year, Gay took to social media to bash Garcia.

“Our injectors are nationally ranked and leaders within the industry and our legion of loyal customers speaks for itself,” she posted Thursday on Instagram. “This lawsuit in the press has no merit and is unfortunately a pattern of behavior from a desperate woman who when unable to pay her bills lashes out to avoid accountability.”

As of Friday afternoon, Garcia had not responded to Gay’s post.

The fact that Garcia has considerably less money than other members of the “RHOSLC” cast has been a continuing plot point in Season 4 of the show.
