Red Butte’s season begins
Now that the weather seems to have finally turned toward the sunny, it’s the perfect time for Red Butte Garden’s summer concert series to start. The opener, on Tuesday, is Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, the funk/rock/jam band formed by the longtime Primus frontman — along with Sean Ono Lennon (John and Yoko’s son) on guitar, Harry Waters (son of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters) on keyboards, former Cake drummer Paulo Baldi, as well as percussionist Mike Dillon and horn player Sherik. Opening the show is Fishbone. The show at Red Butte, 300 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, starts at 7 p.m.; gates open at 6 p.m. The show is sold out.
