A hit-making Swedish pop duo and two of America’s best-known drag queens are among the headlining talent booked for this year’s Utah Pride Festival.
Organizers on Thursday announced the performers for this year’s festival. Here is the schedule, and who is playing at each event:
Utah Pride Live preview • The kickoff show happens Thursday, June 1, 6 to 11 p.m., at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, at 255 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City. Headlining the show is Monét X Change, who came to national attention on the 10th season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and competed in all-star seasons in 2018 and 2022. Also performing are singer/DJ Ultra Naté, comedian Dana Goldberg, singer and 2016 “America’s Got Talent” contestant Brian Justin Crum, and DJ GSP.
Pride march and rally • Friday, June 2, 6 to 8 p.m., starting at the Utah State Capitol, then moving south on State Street to Washington Square.
Loud and Queer concert • Friday, June 2, 8 p.m. to midnight, at Washington Square, 400 South and 200 East, Salt Lake City. Three acts will top the bill: Swedish electro-pop duo Icona Pop, known for their 2012 hit “I Love It,” and for voicing roles in the “Trolls” animated movies; Trixie Mattel, the drag queen, comedian and DJ who debuted on Season 7 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2015, and later won “RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars” in 2018; and singer and DJ Anabel England, known for her work with the electronic music group Hot Natured.
Youth Pride • Saturday, June 3, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Washington Square and Library Square, 400 South and 200 East, Salt Lake City. An outdoor youth party, open to people between 13 and 20 years old.
Drag Brunch • Saturday, June 3, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Shades on State, 366 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Featuring five internationally touring celebrity impersonators: Lawanda Jackson, Dextaci, Olivia Knowles, Tiffany Bonet and KC Sunshine.
Pride Fest Saturday • Saturday, June 3, 1 p.m. to midnight, Washington Square and Library Square. Musical headliners include a club set by the duo Drama, house singer Crystal Waters, electronic-music singer Rêve, and indie musician Black Belt Eagle Scout.
Pride Parade • Sunday, June 4, 10 a.m. to noon, through downtown Salt Lake City.
Pride Fest Sunday • Sunday, June 4, noon to 11 p.m., Washington Square and Library Square. Musical headliners include pop singer Vincint, R&B/soul singer Deborah Cox, DJ and drag queen Jodie Harsh, Australian pop band Cub Sport, and singer and drag queen Marrlo Suzzanne and the Galaxxy Band.
