Here are 7 Utah haunted houses to visit this spooky season

Take your pick out of Utah “haunts” offering a variety of frightful experiences.

If you’re looking for a good scare this spooky season, Utah has no shortage of haunted attractions to choose from.

There’s Fear Factory, a juggernaut in the haunted house world, or Castle of Chaos, a somewhat smaller haunt in Midvale that delivers on fear. (The Tribune recently shared behind-the-scenes peeks of both of them.)

Here’s a list of other Utah haunted houses to check out:

  • Nightmare on 13th • 300 W. 1300 South, Salt Lake City • This haunt features two different attractions and coins itself as “Utah’s #1 Haunted House.”

  • Haunted Forest • 600 W. 6400 North, American Fork • One or the largest haunted attractions in the United States, set in a dark forest.

  • Night Stalkers Haunted Trail • 8800 S. 400 West, West Jordan • This haunt has a haunted trail, a maze and other fearful tours to pick from.

  • Asylum 49 • 140 E. 200 West, Tooele • This haunt loves to use full-contact techniques, where guests can be touched, grabbed and separated from their groups. (No-contact experiences are also available.)

  • Blackburn Boarding House for Witches, Ghouls & Monsters • 317 S. 200 West, Springville • A free haunted house that only runs the last three days of October, the 29th, 30th and 31st.
