The Force of art at The Gateway
Wednesday is International Star Wars Day (“May the Fourth Be With You”), and the Urban Arts Gallery (in The Gateway, at 116 S. Rio Grande, Salt Lake City) is opening of its annual art exhibition inspired by George Lucas’s space opera. This year’s theme is “Heroes and Villains,” and features fan art by local artists celebrating “Star Wars” and other franchises. The reception is Wednesday, 6 to 9 p.m., and features snacks (including “the infamous blue milk”), and a cosplay contest (register by 6:30 p.m. if you want to enter). The event is free; the exhibition continues through May 29.
