Tickets go on sale today for Hugh Jackman’s two nights of song and dance in Utah

Wolverine is coming to Utah to perform — and, even before tickets went on sale Friday at 10 a.m., promoters for Hugh Jackman’s world tour had added a second Salt Lake City performance.

Jackman is now scheduled to sing and dance at Vivint Smart Home Arena on both Thursday, July 11, and Friday, July 12.

“Hugh Jackman — the Man, the Music, the Show” will feature the Tony and Golden Globe winner, accompanied by a live orchestra, performing songs from his movies “The Greatest Showman” and “Les Misérables” as well as music from other films and Broadway shows.

Jackman is perhaps best known for multiple appearances as Wolverine in “X-Men” movies, but he’s also a song-and-dance man. In 2004, he won a Tony for his lead role in the Broadway musical “The Boy From Oz.”

The tour begins with 12 performances in Europe, kicking off May 13 in Germany, and includes dates in France, Switzerland, Ireland and the U.K. The 22-date North American leg of the tour will include stops in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, San Diego, Los Angeles, Denver — and Salt Lake City.

Tickets for the Salt Lake show go on sale Friday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. at HughJackmanTheShow.com, ticketmaster.com, vivintarena.com and at the Vivint box office. Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $225 for VIP packages, plus fees for online purchases.
