Park City • In addition to showcasing works of more than 200 artists, the 48th annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival — which runs Friday through Sunday — is an outdoor celebration with live music, a gallery stroll, children’s activities and food trucks.
The festival is the annual fundraiser for the Kimball Art Center and allows the organization to provide free year-round art exhibits, gallery tours, monthly art talks and education outreach to teachers, students and community members.
Artists from 34 states and Canada — including the 12 Best of Show winners from 2016 — will display and sell works in a variety of mediums including painting, printmaking, ceramics, glass, metal, jewelry, wood and sculpture.
When hunger pangs strike, find the food trucks, concessions and beer garden. Guests also can order a sit-down meal from one of the seven Main Street dining decks or stop by the artisan tasting area for samples of Utah-made candies, ice cream and maple syrup aged in High West Distillery whiskey barrells.
The Festival After Dark program continues with a free movie screening on Friday in the city park; and ticketed concerts Saturday and Sunday at nearby Deer Valley Resort.
