Bingham's Class-of-2017 weakside defensive end Langi Tuifua wanted to commit to Oregon the moment he received an offer from the Ducks earlier this year. The wisdom of his old man, however, told him to see the process through its course, to make sure Eugene was the correct place for him.
It didn't take the junior-to-be long to figure things out. After decommitting from his original pledge to Utah, the four-star product, who is considered amongst the top 200 players in his graduating class nationally, declared his commitment to what he referred to as his "dream school" on Thursday evening.
"Man, I love Oregon so much. I just wanted to go through with it," Tuifua was quoted in an article by the Oregonian. … "They have a beautiful facility. I could go on about how amazing the school is. I still want to go through the recruiting process, but Oregon is my No. 1 for now."
Tuifua (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) recorded 79 tackles and four sacks during his sophomore season at Bingham, which saw the Miners capture their second consecutive Class 5A championship and climb the national polls. Bingham checked in at No. 13 in MaxPreps' preseason rankings for the 2015 season.
In addition to Oregon, Tuifua maintained committable offers from Boise State, BYU, Louisville, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State.
