Utah Valley continues hot streak, beating Cal Bakersfield

Bakersfield, Calif. • Conner Toolson drained five from long range to score 22 points and Kenneth Ogbe added 14 as Utah Valley continued its hot streak to dominate Cal State Bakersfield 70-47 on Thursday night.

Utah Valley (20-8, 9-3 Western Athletic Conference) knocked off league-leading New Mexico State 86-79 last week to halt its 11-game win streak before sliding past UT Rio Grande Valley 84-72 on Saturday.

Ogbe nailed 4 of 8 from distance, hitting 5 of 9 field-goal attempts. Akolda Manyang added 11 points with four blocks for Utah Valley. Manyang became UVU's single-season block leader as he has swatted away 58.

The Wolverines took a 31-27 lead into the break. They opened the second half on a 17-2 sprint and coasted to the win.
