Pricing and Fee Structure

As part of setting up your Gold IRA, you can expect to pay the following fees:

  • Annual metal storage fees, which are usually a flat rate of $80 to $250 per year.

  • IRA admin fees, which can range anywhere from $100 to $300 per year.

  • Premiums on coins/bars (that’s the above-spot margins) which depend on each product. Percentages can be as high as 80%+ on premium coins.

As you can see, the bulk of the fees you’ll be paying are the premiums over the coins you choose to include in your IRA.

Based on our review, Noble Gold Investments offers some of the lowest premiums (single-digit percentages) for their bullion products, while many gold companies are charging 25% to 80% premiums for their bullion coins and rounds.

CEO Collin Plume told us that Noble Gold Investments is committed to offering the lowest fees in the industry.

Exclusive Interview with CEO Collin Plume

In this exclusive interview, we speak with Noble Gold CEO Collin Plume about his background, the company’s mission, and insights into precious metals investing.

Q1. Tell us about yourself and your investing experience

My name is Collin Plume. I have been involved in the investing space and protecting wealth for almost my whole career. I started protecting families’ assets while working in the insurance and property and casualty space in my early 20s.

First, the insurance industry taught me the basics of customer service and ensuring families had the right coverage to protect their homes and assets. Then I found an opportunity in commercial real estate, which propelled my knowledge of investing and tangible investments. Investment is a learning curve, and I have carried that into Noble Gold - education and discovery are one of our founding principles.

Q2. Why did you start Noble Gold?

I have been a successful investor for over 20 years. But when I started in precious metals, I saw the most significant gap in education between what the industry should be and what was happening daily. I wanted to do something different and offer a service that no one offered in precious metals.

Noble Gold offers elite education in precious metals and also white-glove concierge service. It was missing in the precious metals space, and I was able to put the right team together to offer it. We look after our clients from the very first phone call.

Q3. What percentage of your portfolio is allocated to precious metals?

I am similar to all my clients in keeping my exact portfolio private, but I can tell you that I have enough to live on and enough for my family to live on when the dollar collapses. I have at least five years worth of metal that I could survive on.

Q4. What other assets are you bullish on besides gold and silver?

Anything that involves energy and the reduction of that cost will be lucrative. That’s one of the reasons I love silver and all its industrial uses. Silver is the only element used in many electronic and medical applications. Its physical properties are simply unique - nothing else can replace it.

Q5. What should RED flags investors and retirees look for when choosing a gold company?

The cliche goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I have heard of promotions where companies offer free fees for life and 5-15% on free metals on a purchase. But as we know, nothing is free, and those are the companies that typically have the highest fees in the industry and the most complaints.

Any firm that rushes you into a decision is not a company you should work with. Always read the reviews. Google them. Google the senior staff. Check sites like Reddit to get an overall, independent impression of the company and the way it does business.

Q6. What are some common mistakes investors make when taking out a gold IRA, and does your company help investors avoid these mistakes? (What makes you different?)

We believe in educating our clients. This is a massive part of our whole ethos. Unfortunately, so many companies in the marketplace hide the contentious stuff - we go all in - the pros and the cons. We want a long-term relationship, not a sale, crickets, and tumbleweed. Explaining precious metals to clients puts them at ease and reassures them they’ve made the right call. It can be daunting to put a lot of money into something you’re not familiar with. We want our clients to know we’re there for them and how to reach us.

Each client has a dedicated expert precious metals specialist from our team looking after them every step of the way.

Q7. I’ve read and heard about many scams involving gold and silver. What measures does your company take to ensure its gold products’ authenticity and prevent counterfeiting?

We only source our products from established industry suppliers. The precious metals we sell are assayed and certified - as they have to be to comply with IRS regulations and other legislation. We supply photographs of clients’ precious metals on delivery; if they want to store them in vaults, we recommend using them.

Because of our rigorous vetting procedures, we have never been subject to counterfeiting, fraud, or theft of any client gold, silver, platinum, or palladium bullion or coinage in seven years. Potential clients can be assured that their precious metals are genuine. We conduct regular audits and quality control checks. I carry these out.

Our suppliers use the latest technology - holographic labels, micro-printing, and laser etching techniques to track the metals and ensure no breaks in the logistics chain of delivery and shipping.

Conclusion - is Noble Gold Investments a Good Company?

Noble Gold Investments seems like it checks all the right boxes. The company has received great ratings across the board, and based on our conversation with Collin Plume, the company prioritizes client education and satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on providing authentic precious metals and ensuring clients make informed decisions.

Noble Gold Investments is therefore a solid choice for those looking to invest in a gold IRA or other precious metals.
