Westminster's Nicole Yazzie, one day after leading her team to the first Frontier Conference Tournament championship in school history, was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Year.

Yazzie, the fourth Griffin in school history to win the conference's top individual award, leads the team in scoring (13.2) and ranks 10th in the NAIA with an average of 5.03 assists per game. Yazzie has scored in double figures 23 times this season and she finished with 18 points and two assists in Monday night's conference championship victory against Carroll College.
