My wife and I attended another spectacular production presented by Utah Opera on Sunday. We enjoyed it immensely, as seemingly did everyone one else in the sold-out Capitol Theater who quickly rose to their feet at the conclusion at this world-class Madame Butterfly.

The members of the Utah Symphony who regularly play an enormous role in the Opera's productions were, once again, at the top of their game. Congratulations to all who make these productions so marvelous. As season ticket holders, we have been privy to consistently outstanding productions through the years.

We are grateful for all that the Opera and Symphony provide to our community and hope that voters will show their support by voting "yes" for the ZAP tax continuation in November. The Opera and Symphony are but two shining examples of tax money well spent, and I can't think of too many cases where we get so much back for so little.
