Folks like Rich Lowry love to loudly flog the fake IRS scandal, ("At the IRS, a lot of incredible stuff happens," June 28).

Can't blame them. It suits their primary mission of ladling out huge portions of anti-government Kool-aid.

Despite the claims of GOP Kool-aid dispensers like Lowry, it has been accurately documented that IRS auditors did not just single out tea party political groups claiming tax exempt status for audit attention, liberal political groups were audited too.

So this continuing flogging of the IRS is not due to bad stuff happening. Instead as usual it's about the GOP's rabid government destruction ideology. It's just highly paid agents of the wealthy again flogging a fake story of government incompetence in order to get us rubes to support more tax cuts and deregulation to benefit the top one percent — to the detriment of us rubes.
