In referencing Mark Reynolds' article in Sunday's paper, "Taxing Carbon, and giving taxpayer's cash," I agree with everything he said, except the minority in this country who control the majority of the pollution problem will never allow such a tax. They have no religious, moral or ethical obligation to the masses, just to their stockholders, and the huge bonus they reap by higher stock prices. They are not alone in this crime against humanity. We are complicit as well, with our apathy for change. Never wanting to sacrifice for the greater good, that being the planet we actually live on. As long as greed controls our very existence, we as a society will witness the next coming of a Noah type act, trial by fire. In turn, the burning down of our planet, Earth.
