The statements made by our Utah legislators regarding the acceptance of federal Medicaid money have to take a backseat to the logical comments of doctors, nursing groups, church groups and even members of the insurance community.
Utahns' federal taxes help pay for Medicaid programs. It is time for our governor and legislators to "bite the bullet" as other red states have done and accept the federal money and expand Medicaid.
This is the right thing to do. People who need insurance the most will benefit from this decision.
