The Salt Lake Tribune article, "Neighbors fight liquor permit for Foothill bar," states that the proposed bar would close at "11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday" and "midnight" on Friday and Saturday.

But I and an overflow crowd of mostly bar opponents learned at a later evening information meeting held at the Foothill Library that Utah law actually would permit the bar owner to change his mind at any time and be allowed to serve beer until 1 a.m. and remain open until 2 a.m., one of the major concerns of nearby residents.
