A weekend prostitution sting resulted in the arrests of nine would-be customers, St. George police say.

Using a female decoy posing as a prostitute, officers placed advertisements for sexual services on various websites, arranged meetings with prospective clients by telephone and then laid in wait.

Having discussed the nature of services and prices on the phone, the men were arrested after meeting the decoy at an unspecified location on Friday.

Cited for solicitation were men from several southern Utah area cities, ranging in age from 24 to 63, police said Monday.
