A sport utility vehicle rolled off the freeway near Parowan on Friday afternoon, injuring two people.

The crash happened about 4:50 p.m. as the silver SUV was southbound on Interstate 15 near mile marker 80, according to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Jalaine Hawkes. For some unknown reason, the vehicle rolled off the freeway and came to a rest on a nearby frontage road.

Hawkes said the driver, an adult female, and a passenger, possibly a juvenile, were being evaluated by medical crews. They suffered lacerations, but are expected to recover.

The accident did not block traffic. Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the crash Friday.
